Sister is about real people, real girls and women that live in London. As an example, our fashion section is focused on women's varying styles; by featuring non-professional models - just real Londoners - we are introducing a cross-section of women living in the communities of London, with their own lives and their individual styles portrayed. The same is true of our interviews, which again delve into the lives and experiences of real Londoners, their lifestyles and views on sexuality, the community and their values.

Sister is a brand new hot and free magazine for:’ Women On The Other Side Of The Straight Line’;

  • women who are queer, lesbian, bisexual and so on.
  • women who identify as alternative in some way or live outside of the mainstream.
  • women who are independent, political, feminist, green, artistic, diverse and very, very cool!

Sister offers a new space, a meeting point and an alternative to London’s gay scene for women. Sister is a totally environmentally friendly magazine, made out of recycled paper and biodegradable ink; which makes it the first ‘queer green magazine’ in London. Sister is smart and edgy.

Produced by a team of exciting writers, activists, illustrators, designers, photographers and stylists who are constantly searching for what is original, special or unique and want to bring the best of London to their female community and 'Sisters!

We believe in Sister's potential both as a social project and an artistic creation. We provide an insight into cultural and artistic events, fashion, the environment, feminism, politics, the issues faced by members of our community and a particular 'liaison' with the moon . . .
