Dream Nails Merkury

Our favourite Feminist Punk Witches are back! - and skyrocketing to intergalactic levels with a fun (and timely) new video for ‘Merkury’.

Directed by Guen Murroni, the band have gone on a neon-lit astrological drive in honour of the planet mercury – considered to affect transport, communication and relationships on planet earth. Released on the day Mercury went retrograde for the second time this year, Guitarist Anya explains the concept for those potentially unaware: “A Mercury retrograde lurches us all into crises, like a toxic ex walking back into your life uninvited.” This theme, penned tongue-in-cheekly in signature Dream Nails form, has been crafted into a song of blistering, catchy, disco-punk beauty and Anya forewarns: “This song is a lesson for those who don’t know what havoc it can cause.”

Celebrating with a launch party in Dalston - the response has been real and Dream Nails’ expanding catalogue of punchy, addictive songs to inspire and provoke social change continues to grow stronger: “The party was awesome!” Excitedly declares lead singer Janey, “We also played a brand new song, Girl Gang, which is about how sick we are of living in fear of male violence. The crowd absolutely clicked with it and there was such a big mosh pit of amazing women!!!!”

Catch Dream Nails on tour this August and be sure to follow the band on Facebook and Twitter for plenty more info and updates.
