QUEEN OF THE MOB - INTRODUCING A FASHION FILM

‘Queen Of The Mob’ follows a familiar narrative set in a seemingly obscure world. What if a treasured wonderland had been left alone, untouched and unloved for a hundred years? Who and what would you find there? Alice is curious and yet not who we remember... a label reads “Don't drink me”. But that's not right, is it? With the Queen Of The Mob's help, Alice is once again invited to sit at the head table; but is this a party we want to be part of?
About The Director & Designer
India Gaul has worked in both the fashion and film industries from a young age, and is no stranger to the weird and wonderful. She was drawn to Tanja Novak’s latest collection and was inspired by her process to create ‘Queen Of The Mob’. Originally trained as an actor, India has worked for Warner Bros, Universal, Netflix, BBC, Amazon, Working Title, Atlantic Records, to name a few. A complete workaholic India writes when she's not directing, acts when she's not photographing and researches when she's not dressing sets.
Tanja's work (as seen in Vogue Italia, Noctis and worn by Tulisa and Jorja Smith) is predominately inspired by feminism and the actions of women throughout history. She’s strongly influenced by Victorian era fashion and modern sportswear. She created the Cristabel dress exclusively for this film, to be the hero of the story. Cristabel Pankhurst being the original ‘Queen Of The Mob’.
