Sister Christmas Tees X Women Against Rape

Remember our Generally Quite Professional tees from earlier this year? Well, Flimsy + Amateurish is the next up in our Feedback Series, designed by our long time collaborator Hatti Rex. She took quotes from our editor-in-chief Beccy Hill’s university project (which is where Sister Magazine started) and turned the scathing remarks into slogan art. If you missed it first time round, get the full goss right here.

As Christmas is a time for giving, we've decided to team up with the amazing organisations Women Against Rape and Black Women's Rape Action Project. 10% of every t-shirt sold will be donated, and the total then split equally between the two. Both organisations work together and are based on self-help and provide support, legal information and advocacy. They campaign for justice and protection for women and girls, including asylum seekers, who have suffered sexual, domestic and/or racist violence. We wanted to help a cause particularly close to our hearts, and hopefully to yours too. Order your tee here, and read more about our selected organisations below, and how you can help.

Women Against Rape (WAR) was founded in 1976. It has won changes in the law, such as making rape in marriage a crime, set legal precedents and achieved compensation for many women. If you would like to make your own personal donation you can do here.
Black Women’s Rape Action Project (BWRAP) was founded in 1991. It focuses on getting justice for women of colour, bringing out the particular discrimination they face. It has prevented the deportation of many rape survivors. If you would like to make your own personal donation you can do here.
Both organisations are multiracial and the majority of their work is done by volunteers. If you would like to lend your time in anyway, their Crossroads Women's Centre is located at 25 Wolsey Mews, London, NW5 2DX.
